Diverse Supply Chains project believes in removing the barriers that diverse businesses experience when entering the supply chains of larger contractors/organisations, this is why we are helping 30 businesses access grants of £2,500.
We firmly believe that these economic incentives directed to minority-led SMEs will have a direct positive impact in the regional economy and the advancement of the government’s agenda of inclusive growth.
As part of our effort to support minority-led SMEs with these grants we want to help your company harness your procurement potential, adapt to the changing tendering requirements and better understand the contractual needs of major companies.
You could use these grants for a variety of purposes that align with increasing your tendering and procurement capabilities. Examples of suitable applications to grants are:
- Marketing & Branding focused on developing websites and marketing material
- Supporting the cost of additional specialised consultancy support
- Acquiring accreditations. However, funding for meeting regulatory requirements will not be eligible
- Training / support in bid writing
- Leadership training
The maximum intervention rate is 50%. For example, the total project expenditure must be a minimum of £5,000 to receive a £2,500 grant.
The number of grants available will vary for each cohort of the workshop programme.
Grants are only available to SMEs that partake in the workshop programme. Please note, you will have to apply to each separately.
